1–31–21 | Brave
It’s a matter of days and weeks until we meet CJ. Most of the details are lined up: we have housing for family, a schedule for Teddy. We know more of what to expect for our sweet son’s glorious entrance.
And, the honest truth of it is, I’m scared.
I just will never be prepared enough to see my newborn son suffer.
But you know what — I’m holding onto the meaning of my name. And I think my parents named me for such a time as this:
Kasey means BRAVE.
I am brave.
We have chosen this route for our son. We knew what we were getting into — the complications and joys of it. And, we are going to see it through!!
We are strong because of a community that loves us. We are strong because God is with us. We are strong because Love is in our midst.
But I am brave because it’s my calling, my identity, my namesake.
Brave. I am brave.
