11.2.20 | Let’s buy a rug
The last few days have included long hospital visits, fetal echos, consultations. Wrestling matches with God and yourself of how to best help this unborn growing baby. Waking up at 3:30AM every night to have a private weeping session. Taking care and making sure to love your living son. And, finally doing 6 loads of laundry because the washer and dryer finally arrived.
We just moved to Atlanta 2.5 weeks ago, after all!
One of the things Cort and I love to do (him more than me) is to dream about designing our home. We’re not quite at the design part yet, but we do need some things so we’re not living out of boxes and suitcases still! And, in a 1920’s school house loft with concrete floors, we need some elements to soften the space (both literally and figuratively!).
Let’s buy a rug.

You know, there was a time when what rug to furnish in our home would be the hardest decision I would make that day, that week, heck, even that month!
Let’s buy a rug.
Life and death isn’t on the table for discussion. Ethical dilemmas are no where to be found. But the feng shui of my living room has my undivided attention… for now. And that feels good.
