11.23.20 | Honored

Tonight Cort and I had a check-in. With the business of any given day, sometimes it’s important to ask how are you, really?

We vulnerably opened our hearts to one another. In doing so, there is one thing Cort said that I am holding onto:

Honored keeps coming up in his spirit.

It took me aback. And even writing this, I am wrestling with it because it truly is a mindset changer!

So, from here on out, I’m choosing this recent diagnosis as an honor. I am honored our son is fighting for life. I am honored God chose us to love, protect and advocate for this beautiful boy needing so much care! I am honored to go on a journey of faith, hope and love. I am honored to carry, deliver and support a heart warrior. I am honored to be a mother.

What an honor it is to love exceedingly more than to fear the unknown! Thank you, Lord, for the honor.
